Hi Gents,

What diameter or strength do you use for mono leaders on 2 oz, 4 oz and 6 oz sinkers?

Thanks in anticipation,

John

John ,

Leade details are contained in the information section of the web site but basic rules are as follows

Weight leader
18 gram 0.35mm
50 Gram 0.65mm
75 gram 0.65mm
100 gram 0.65mm
125 gram 0.65mm
150 gram 0.75mm
175 gram 0.75mm
200 Gram 0.75mm

4 oz = 112 gram so 0.65mm
6 oz = 168 gram so 0.75mm

Hope this helps :D

When fishing for Salmon etc. I just use 80lb for everything, that way I can clip on whatever weight sinker to suit the conditions.

For fishing I drop down to 40 pound leader for the 2 & 3 oz leads , not sure of the diameter but it is thinner than the 0.65mm .
I fish with up to 8 oz grip leads so use .80 diameter a lot of the time especially when fishing in rocky locations where I sometimes just pole fish in if they are under 5 kg.

Really looking forward to using my T1000 and T900 this coming snapper season :D
