Hi fella's. We're all in accord, the 15 is a cracking reel that should be in every fishing kit.

Yep the club has a couple of the Penn 15 reels left, also the Squall 12's. At what we believe is very reasonable prices.

Support the club, become a member and as a bonus purchase a Penn at a good price.

We also still have a Kingfisher Poseidon gold Class 3+2 piece rod in stock. Just in case anyone is interested!

Hi Yea,

I am soon to replacing my penn squall 15 stainless steel reel bearings with the upgraded ceramic (T.G).[extra fast]
Presently I don't have issues casting with the magnet dial at 0 (less). However begging from the experienced ones would it be advisable to start the first cast on the new bearings with the mag. turned up to say 20% or so or to remain at zero.
I anticipate many will say try and see what I am most comfortable with, and in my mind set I will most likely turn the dial
to zero and end up with an anticipated learner's birds nest. [not desirable at all]

With the new bearings set the mags to there maximum setting and just progressively wind off as you get to see how much faster the reel is with the new bearings
