Fixing reel to reducer

New technology and the old, choosing the right rod and how to set it up.

Fixing reel to reducer

Postby Gippslander » Tue Oct 03, 2017 1:46 pm

Currently using a unwieldy combination of cricket bat silicone, bike tyre, pvc tape, thumbie and breakaway nylon coasters. As you can imagine this is a bit of a faff but also still leaves plenty of reel wiggle.
Is all I need to do, is to order shrink wrap and then I,ll be able to directly fix reel to reducer? Any idea of shrink wrap diameter for century ttr reducer?

Hugh,

For me I just went to an electrical supplier and got some of the heat shrink that they sell both sell glueing and standard. Take the reducer with you and get on the is a reasonable fit before heating.
The other alternative is to glue a Fuji DPS seat onto the reducer unless your wanting it just for casting reels :D
