Rick ,

There are a number of rods and blanks that would meet your requirements from the likes of Century , Zziplex, and pacific composit to name a few. I have a number of these and depending on where you are located will be happy to let you try them out.

Rick ,

I will be down that end of the world again later in the week depending on the weather, I will bring a few of my rods down for you to have a look at as well as some blanks that I haven't built up yet.

I assume that you will be running the braid from a threadline and if so what breaking strain are you wanting to use as this will also have an impact on what you could use.

Rick ,

I will organise something in the very near future as I will be getting two rods for myself in the very near future , these are a bit longer than what you are requesting but they may prove to be suitable.

but really what im lookin for is a rod suited to the cast weight..line breaking strain isnt a huge issue..i will buy whatever reel and line to suit the rod

Rick ,

I have a nice rod that I used to get the 18 gram plug record with and Gary in NSW has been using it for work spinning from the rocks in NSW with a multidude of weights and lure styles . Gary should be a good reference point as well as he uses these types of rod more than I do.

It is 10'6" long and very light but still has plenty of power for a wide range of lure weights , I like it more than some of my others as it has a lighter tip.
Hopefully Gary can add some additional comments and possibly some video footage if he has some.

Regards :D
