Wide Grip & Flat Swing

Swing it high, swing it low, drag it across the ground? Discussion on casting technique.

Wide Grip & Flat Swing

Postby Jeremy Schrader » Sat Mar 12, 2016 8:59 pm

As the title says I decided that I needed to change things a little and therefore went down to the local park this evening to do some practice with my Century T1000 and using a wide grip and throwing the tennis ball with greased up ABU 6500 CT. I was reasonably happy with the way things went and will post up the video shortly.

Interested if others are using a wide grip ?

Regards :D

Not really as Jason gets his tip down lower than I am at this stage but casts are just work in progress. Will be posting up some more footage but with a range of leads this time. :D

More work in progress with the T1000 throwing a range of weights to get to grips with the style. Will stick at this till I feel comfortable with it.

Re: Wide Grip & Flat Swing Revisited

Well it's been a while since I tried the wider grip but decided that with some of the other little changes that I have been employing into my casting that I would do some more work with it.

Whilst I am not sure of distances due to casting into the lake am feeling better with this now.

Will have to do some casts with the lighter leads and see how that goes soon :-)
