Penn Mariner . Some people say yuk but have a look in the store when your in next . "Don't judge a book by its cover " It's soft , ties a good knot , it's cheap, and line diameters match up for our casting comps. Comes in 1/4 lbs spools & it's fluro . Yep I use it .
I use it for beach work If u need to fish some heavier ground try something a little more harder?
Rumor , may come out of the suffix factory ?

Thanks wozscott what reels do you use Penn Mariner on?

Apologies for such a late reply ....

I have been using Maxima Fibreglow [ fluoro pink line ] on my 6500s and spinners . It casts really well , is tough and quite durable , and easy to see .

My 7000 is spooled with Stren Hi - Vis 8 kg atm ; and is also a good line , imho .

Previously I used Tortue line for decades , but nowadays I need hi -vis lines for visibility and knot tying .

I use these lines for fishing . Notsure how they would perform for distance casting ...
